Product description
In addition to the NCS Index 2050, there is an NCS colour fan in high gloss: the NCS Index Glossy 1950. It contains the 1950 NCS standard colours of the standard from before 2022, with a high-gloss finish of approximately 88 gloss units at 60°. This includes the 200 light colours that were added to the standard in 2004.
The Glossy Index has 216 pages with 10 colours per page. You use it when you specify colours for high-gloss lacquers and materials, such as furniture lacquer, kitchen fronts or metal. Gloss changes how a colour looks; with a high-gloss sample, you see the colour as it will appear on the end product.
Please note
The 100 colours that were added to the standard in 2022 are not in the Glossy Index. You will find them in the NCS Index 2050. The Glossy Index is therefore a supplement to the Index 2050, not a replacement.

The Glossy Index contains the 1950 colours of the standard from before 2022. The 100 colours added in 2022 are not included. For all 2050 colours, use the NCS Index 2050, if required alongside the Glossy Index.
When do I use the Glossy Index?
When you specify colours for high-gloss lacquers, car paint, furniture lacquer or other glossy surfaces. Gloss affects how a colour looks; with a high-gloss sample, you see the colour as it will appear on the end product.
