The NCS Exterior 84 is a specialised colour fan within the Natural Colour System, specifically developed for outdoor applications. The set contains 84 manually selected colours that have proven to behave stably under varying weather conditions, UV exposure, and diffuse sky lighting.
All colours in this fan are selected for visual reliability in relation to large facade surfaces, so that shades shift less between small sample sizes and large outdoor surfaces — a well-known risk in facade and architecture projects.
The fan is divided into seven clear chapters, each based on archetypal natural environments: Clouds, Fields, Earth, Clay, Minerals, Sky, Grass.
