NCS accessories for your colour meter and fan

The NCS accessories belong with NCS products you already use: a spare calibration cap for the Colourpin, a gloss reference to specify the gloss level and a protective cover for the NCS Index 2050. They are intended for professionals who work with NCS and want to keep their measurements and colour choices reliable. All accessories are original NCS products.

The accessories

• NCS Calibration Cap: the original spare calibration cap for the NCS Colourpin II and the earlier Colourpin SE, used to calibrate the device before you measure.
• NCS Gloss Scale: reference samples in increasing gloss levels, to agree the gloss level of paint, lacquer or coating with a client or supplier.
• NCS Index 2050 Protective Cover: a made-to-measure cover for the NCS Index 2050, with an elastic closure, that protects the fan against dust, scratches and wear on the road.

Why gloss and calibration matter

The same NCS colour can look darker and deeper in high gloss than in a matt finish. If you pass on only the NCS code, the gloss level is left open. With the Gloss Scale you record it next to the code, so that painter, manufacturer and client expect the same result.

A colour meter only measures reliably when it is properly calibrated. If the calibration cap of your Colourpin is lost or damaged, replace it with the Calibration Cap. And a fan that you keep closed, dust-free and out of the sun lasts longer; the Protective Cover helps, especially if you often take the Index to clients or the building site.

How to choose

Choose the accessory for the product you have: the Calibration Cap for a Colourpin II or Colourpin SE, the Protective Cover for an NCS Index 2050.
