The NCS Colourpin II is a small, portable colour meter for designers, stylists, interior consultants and painters who want to find a colour quickly. You place the meter flat on a surface; the NCS+ app on your phone (iOS or Android) immediately shows the closest colour from the 2050 NCS standard colours.

Colourpin II or Colourpin PRO?
The Colourpin II is intended for quick colour selection on matt, flat surfaces such as walls, fabrics and paper. If you often measure glossy surfaces, record measurements or work with several meters together, choose the Colourpin PRO: it measures independently of gloss and is twice as consistent.
A meter gives the closest NCS standard colour. Always check the result with an original NCS colour sample next to the surface.

What is the difference between the Colourpin II and the Colourpin PRO?
The Colourpin II measures with a 45/0 geometry: gloss affects the measurement. The PRO measures with a sphere (d/0), independently of gloss, with a larger measuring aperture (6 mm) and twice as consistently (0.05 versus 0.10 ΔE00). For quick colour selection on matt surfaces, the II is sufficient; for recording and checking colours, the PRO is the better fit.
