Product description
The Datacolor ColorReader Pro is the most comprehensive colour meter in Datacolor's ColorReader range. The main difference from the standard ColorReader: the Pro has its own OLED display. This means it also works without the ColorReader app. You transfer the colour collections you use to the device once via the app; after that, you measure and read the colour match directly on the display.
Differences from the standard ColorReader
- own OLED display: measure and read the result without a phone
- store colours on the device itself (up to 10,000 colours, according to Datacolor)
- larger device, supplied with a storage case
- the calibration tile is in the case (on the standard ColorReader it is in the protective cap)
What both ColorReaders have in common
- the closest colour in a large number of paint and design collections
- CMYK, LCh and LRV values of the measured colour
- connection to the ColorReader app (iOS and Android) to manage and share measurements
Supported colour collections
The ColorReader Pro works with collections including Ambiance Plus, Colour Gallery, Moodmakers, Valspar 1750, Color Snap, Farrow & Ball Colours, Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral, Dulux, Helios 720, Malerix ForteMix Farbraum, Nova 2024, RAL Classic, RAL Effect, RAL Design Plus, Schöner Wohnen, Schöner Wohnen Trendfarben, Savage Seamless, Sikkens 4041, Sikkens 5051 and Sto Kleuren.
NCS and British Standard by subscription
NCS colours are available through an additional NCS subscription in the app (€10.99 per month). British Standard colours are available through a subscription of €15.99 per month.
Who is it for?
The Pro suits painters, consultants and buyers who take many measurements on location and do not want to reach for their phone every time. If you measure only now and then and have your phone to hand anyway, the standard ColorReader is sufficient.
