Product description
The Datacolor ColorReader is a portable colour meter from Datacolor, a specialist in colour measurement and colour management. You hold the meter against a surface and the ColorReader app on your phone (iOS and Android) immediately finds the best-matching colour in a large number of paint and design collections.
The standard ColorReader always works together with the app. If you also want to measure and read the result without a phone, choose the ColorReader Pro, which has its own display.
Supported colour collections
The ColorReader works with collections including Ambiance Plus, Colour Gallery, Moodmakers, Valspar 1750, Color Snap, Farrow & Ball Colours, Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral, Dulux, Helios 720, Malerix ForteMix Farbraum, Nova 2024, RAL Classic, RAL Effect, RAL Design Plus, Schöner Wohnen, Schöner Wohnen Trendfarben, Savage Seamless, Sikkens 4041, Sikkens 5051 and Sto Kleuren.
In addition to the colour match, the app also shows the CMYK, LCh and LRV values of the measured colour.
NCS and British Standard by subscription
NCS colours are available through an additional NCS subscription in the app (€10.99 per month). British Standard colours are available through a subscription of €15.99 per month. The ColorReader therefore only searches the NCS colours if you activate that subscription in the app.
Adding your own colour collections
You can have your own professional colour collections added to the ColorReader app. Contact us about this; we will arrange it for you.
